1. Notice of OS update for gateway nodes​

We are currently updating the OS of the General Analysis Division and the Personal Genome Analysis Division sequentially. If you log in after the update, the SSH server impersonation prevention function The following error message may appear when logging in after the update due to the SSH server spoofing prevention function. Please follow the instructions here for how to deal with the error

2. December 13, 2024 - December 19, 2024: Scheduled Maintenance​

In conjunction with the statutory power outage at the Institute of Genetics, scheduled maintenance of the supercomputer at the Institute of Genetics will be performed on the following dates and times. The supercomputer will not be available during the scheduled maintenance.

Period​

December 13, 2024 (Fri.) 17:00 - December 19, 2024 (Thu.) 24:00

Work Schedule​

  • Dec. 13 (Fri) 17:00 - Supercomputer shutdown
  • Dec. 14 (Sat) Legal power outage
  • Dec. 15 (Sun) - Dec. 18 (Wed) Supercomputer scheduled maintenance work
  • Dec. 19 (Thu) Reserve day

Main work​

Overall upgrade by apt upgrade of Ubuntu Linux. Updates of software not managed by apt will be posted on the following link as soon as they are determined.

Note​

Running jobs will be deleted, so please re-submit jobs after the scheduled maintenance is completed.

3. Billing Deadlines​

As usual, the deadline for billing for the second period is the last day of November (Saturday, November 30). We will send you the estimated billing amount for the second term around November 20. If you need a written estimate, please let us know. We will send you an invoice in early December.

As in previous years, the billing deadline for the third term is the last day of December (Tuesday, December 31st), when the amount will be finalized. Please note that for the billing service for the third term, no changes to plans with changes in amounts can be made after January 1.
